About
Stained Glass Theatre strives to be a jewel among theatres. A place where God the Father is glorified, and Jesus Christ is proclaimed as Lord and Savior.
OUR HISTORY:
Stained Glass Theatre was born from a dream in the heart of playwright, director, and Southwest Baptist University instructor, Ron Boutwell.
Boutwell had a vision to use theatre to communicate God’s love to the world. In the fall of 1982, Boutwell and a rag-tag bunch of college kids – all students of Ron’s -- began making plans to use their talents to serve God by establishing a full-time Christian Theatre.
Their dream was realized when Stained Glass Theatre opened its doors in the Fall of 1983.
SGT has been ''Serving Christ Through the Arts'' for over 40 years, and has called Ozark home since 2003. This has only been possible because of the hundreds of prayer warriors, volunteers, and faithful supporters that have partnered with us over the years as we have grown and followed God’s vision. We have had so many incredible volunteers that have stuck with us through every move and transition, abiding by these 2 simple questions:
“Why do you do the things you do? Who do you do them for?” -
Directions
Stained Glass Theatre is located near the junction of Hwy 14 & 65 in Ozark. Go west one block past the gas station to 20th Street south. Turn left one block to Evangel Street.
